No one really knew what to expect from the Indianapolis Colts this season. But after watching the online NFL betting humiliation the Colts endured at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams, there’s no doubt about what we’ll be getting from Indianapolis this season: mediocrity
The Colts will have an opportunity to change the minds of NFL sportsbook players this Sunday when they host the Arizona Cardinals. Who will online betting sites peg as the favorites?

Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals are coming off a disappointing 7-8-1 record to finish 2nd in the NFC West. It was not the follow up to a division-winning season that Arizona was hoping for and their Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions has fans feeling like this season will be the same old story.
The Cardinals opened up their 2017 by traveling to the Motor City and taking on the Lions. Arizona started strong by scoring 10 in the 1st quarter while shutting out the Lions. It went downhill from there however with Arizona failing to keep up with Detroit’s’ offense.
Yardage wise Arizona didn’t have a problem keeping up. The Lions gained 367 total yards on offense which wasn’t much more than the 309 Arizona got on the day. Ultimately it was the 4 turnovers that the Cardinals committed on the day that led to their demise. Three of those turnovers came at the hands of Carson Palmer, who finished the day with a QBR rating of 28.1.
If Palmer can’t turn it around, the Cardinals might as well kiss their 2017 online NFL betting season farewell. It’s also come to light that David Johnson will be out this Sunday, due to undergoing surgery on his wrist.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are coming off their 2nd straight 8-8 season. Since Indianapolis has Andrew Luck under center, many NFL sportsbook betting sites felt that the Colts could compete in the relatively-uncompetitive AFC South. But Sunday’s results have left many bookmakers questioning that sentiment.
Indianapolis opened up their 2017 season by traveling to Los Angeles and taking on the Rams. No one knew what to expect from the Rams – especially the Colts, and it’s no understatement to say that we were all left with our mouths wide open after the game completed.
Behind a stellar performance second-year quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams were able to score 46 on the unsuspecting Colts. Granted, the Colts were without their star quarterback Luck, but even their running game couldn’t get anything going.
Luck is expected to sit out Week 2 as well leaving most Colts fans feeling like there’s little hope for a win over the Cardinals. Online betting sites feel the same way since their pegging the Colts as massive underdogs against Arizona. The Cardinals might also be coming off a disappointing performance, but at least they have their starting quarterback.
