That didn’t turn out to be the case as ultimately turned in sub-par performances by their own standards. Nevertheless, these two will face each other in this weekend’s Dallas Cowboy vs. Oakland Raiders inter-conference matchup. Which team are the betting NFL online odds pegging as the favorite?

Oakland Raiders +3 (-105) 45 ½ (-105) +140
The Cowboys ride into this Week 15 matchup flashing a 7-6 record that ranks them 2nd in the NFC East. Since the East is currently led by the 11-2 Eagles, who have already clinched the division, Dallas has zero chance of winning back to back division titles. However, Dallas could still very much make the postseason off of a Wild Card Berth. It’s an extremely unlikely scenario, but one that is still mathematically possible. The Cowboys come into this matchup riding a 2-game win streak after picking up consecutive wins over the Washington Redskins and New York Giants. No doubt that gives Dallas a boost in confidence for this weekend’s matchup. Nevertheless, the Giants and Redskins aren’t part of the betting NFL online elite and the Raiders will be a much tougher team to overcome. So what bets should sportsbook players make for this NFC East rivalry?
Bettors looking to rack up some nice bonuses with the NFL teaser odds should consider betting on the spread for this Dallas Cowboys vs. Oakland Raiders matchup. The Raiders have a mediocre 4-8-1 record against the spread this season while the Cowboys have a 7-6 ATS record. The line is set at 3-points with the Cowboys pegged as the favorite. Dallas is coming off a game in which they beat the Giants by 20. Before that, the Cowboys defeated Washington by 14. With that in mind, it’s clear that a 3-point spread isn’t much for Dallas to cover.
The Raiders have slumped their way to a 6-7 record that still gives them a shot at the playoffs, despite how poor Oakland has performed at times this season. It’s important to realize that Oakland has failed to win more than two games consecutively, which shows that this team is incapable of building momentum. Furthermore, the Raiders are 2-2 in their last 4 games. The two losses came against the chiefs and the Pats and the two wins came against the Broncos and Giants. Clearly the Raiders have a hard time competing with the best talent in the NFL. Luckily for them, Dallas hardly classifies as such.
Both teams are pretty evenly matched. The Cowboys are scoring 24.3 on offense while allotting 22.6 defensively. Comparatively, the Raiders are giving up 23.4 while scoring 20.3 themselves.
