NFL Football Betting Odds for Sunday’s AFC West Rivalry
The AFC West is not living up to its preseason expectations. Before the year kicked off, most players who would place a bet on NFL games in 2017 felt that the West would be one of the best divisions in pro football. This was simply due to the fact that the Raiders and Chiefs both made the playoffs last season and most NFL football betting players were expecting both franchises to build on their 2016 success. While Kansas City was able to build on last year’s success, during the first half of the season, the club has since suffered a major drop off as they have posted a 1-4 record in their last 5 games. Similarly, the Raiders are 4-6 on the season and the Broncos – who were expected to compete for a spot in the playoffs this season, are sitting on a 4-6 record. So with all those records in mind, it’s safe to say that the AFC West was the most overhyped division in the NFL.
Nevertheless, the West will have an opportunity to prove us wrong this Sunday when the Oakland Raiders host the Denver Broncos. Since both teams have been struggling as of late, most sports betting websites will expect this game to turn into a droll. But if they do put on a show, we might have to reconsider our stance regarding the hype surrounding the West.

The Broncos ride into this Week 12 pairing sporting a 3-7 record that ranks them 4th in the AFC West. Denver has had a sour season considering that their fanbase and most NFL football betting fans were expecting them to be competitive in the division. But considering that Denver’s only wins of the season have come against the Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Oakland Raiders; competitive is not a word that should be used to describe the 2017 Denver Broncos. The Broncos are coming off a 20-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals that marked the franchise’s 6th straight defeat.
The Raiders enter this Sunday’s matchup with a 4-6 record that ranks them 2nd in the AFC West despite the fact that it’s a losing record. The Chiefs, who currently lead the division, got off to a fast start to the 2017 season but have been quickly losing speed. With Kansas City sitting on a 6-4 record, it is now feasible for the Raiders to make a push for the lead in the division. However, the Chargers are also sitting on a 4-6 record so the Raiders will have to put in work to get the task done. The Raiders enter this game as heavy betting favorite simply due to the fact that the Broncos’ offense is pitiful. However, considering that Oakland is coming off a game in which they only scored 7 points, bettors should think twice before backing them this Sunday.
