NFL Betting Odds Convinced Titans Can Beat Colts
Posted by: Mike Davis
Seeing the Tennessee Titans struggle is nothing new. Through the last couple of years, the online NFL betting community has watched the Titans try their luck at finding a franchise quarterback, make all sorts of personnel changes, and even have a player have a breakout season at runningback. But in the end the Titans always fail to find continuing success. Tennessee hasn’t had a winning season since 2011, and you’d have to go back to 2008 to find a year in which the Titans qualified for the postseason. It’s apparent the Titans needed a change and last year they tried to create one when they parted ways with Ken Whisenhunt.
Whisenhunt was Tennessee’s head coach for two years and during that time Whisenhunt lead the Titans to a paltry 3-20 record. After such devastating results, fans can understand why the Titans split with their former head coach halfway through the 2015 season. Mike Mularkey was brought in as interim head coach before earning the head coaching position for this season. In 2015 Mularkey lead the Titans to a 2-7 finish, and this season he’s done his best to lead the Titans to a 3-3 record. It’s been a rocky start, but this upcoming weekend the Mularkey-led Titans will have an opportunity to rise above the .500 mark for the first time this season. Will the new head coach be able to lead his team to a winning record? Most football betting sites certainly think so.
Week 7 – Sunday, October 23rd
Indianapolis Colts +3 (-125) 48 (-110) +120
This Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts will be traveling to Nashville to face off against the Titans in Nissan Stadium. Tennessee is 1-2 at home, but the online NFL betting odds are certain that the Titans can hold off their home this time around. But it might not be faith in the Titans that created these odds. It could have more to do with the fact that the Colts are 0-3 on the road. Whatever it may be, the fact of the matter remains, these two will be facing off this Sunday to provide Week 7’s divisional rival betting action.
While it’s true that we don’t often see the Titans enjoying success in the NFL, the opposite is true about the Colts. Indianapolis is one of those teams that is always in contention for the playoffs. Last season the Colts failed to live up to their hype and finished 2015 with an 8-8 record. The way 2016 has been shaping up so far, it seems Indianapolis is going to fail to uphold their reputation once again. Coming into this game the Colts are 2-4 and find themselves at the bottom of the AFC South, behind the Jacksonville Jaguars. If the Jaguars are enjoying a better record than you, then you know with unbridled certainty that something is seriously wrong. It’s not too hard to figure out where the problems lie for Indianapolis. A quick glance at their stats will reveal that the defense is crippling this football team. The Colts offense ranks in the top half of the league, while their defense finds itself much closer to the bottom of the NFL. This Sunday, the online NFL betting odds predict that the Colts defense will let them down once more.
