New York Jets

As aforementioned, the Jets fly into this weekend’s matchup sporting a 3-4 record. That record pegs them as the 3rd worst team in the AFC East. Right now the division is led by the 5-2 Patriots, who are starting to leave New York behind in the dust. Barring some miraculous turn of events, it’s looking like New York will miss out on the football betting online postseason once again. All in all that would make it 8 straight seasons that New York has missed out on the playoffs. As for this weekend’s matchup, it’s pretty clear that the odds suggest that the Jets have a massive disadvantage against the Bears. However, the numbers don’t tell that tale. Right now the Jets are scoring 26.0 per game which isn’t too far off the 28.3 mark that Chicago delivers. Defensively things look similar as well with New York giving up 25.1 and the Bears allotting 22.3. The odds don’t think New York stands a chance but those numbers suggest they could very well come out on top.

Players to Watch: Sam Darnold (1,552 passing yards, 10 TD, 10 INT), Isaiah Crowell (459 rushing yards, 5 TD, 0 F), and Robby Anderson (314 receiving yards, 3 TD, 17 REC).

Chicago Bears

The Bears pounce into this weekend’s matchup sporting a 3-3 record that ranks tem as the 3rd worst team in the NFC North. Last week Chicago found themselves atop of the division. But after losing to the Patriots 38-31 – their second straight loss, Chicago sunk to 3rd place while the 4-2-1 Vikings took the division. Despite being 3rd, Chicago still has a great shot of winning the division this season. Albeit, if they lose three in a row they’ll definitely be shooting themselves in the foot. All in all Chicago has faced some very tough teams this season and has played some great football in those matches. The Jets on the other hand, have already suffered their share of blowouts. This is what likely led the odds to paint such a lopsided picture this Sunday.

Players to Watch: Mitchell Trubisky (1,594 passing yards, 13 TD, 6 INT), Jordan Howard (311 rushing yards, 2 TD, 1 F), and Taylor Gabriel (329 receiving yards, 2 TD, 30 REC).
