New York Giants
Big Blue enters this Week 15 pairing sporting a 2-11 that ranks them as the worst team in the NFC East. The Giants and their fanbase were confident that the team would find plenty of success in 2017, since New York finished 11-5 the year before. However, bettors will recall how the Giants season came to an end last season. Specifically, one week before facing the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau, OBJ decided to take himself and several other of New York’s receivers down to Florida for a short time. The move caused plenty of ripples and everyone basically ended up blaming Beckham for the Giants’ loss. After all, it’s hard to win a playoff game with so much distraction.
Obviously this didn’t sit well with most Giants fans, but New York never really went after their star receiver. There’s no denying OBJ’s popularity from the fans, the only problem was that McAdoo was a big OBJ fan as well. Instead of taking the player aside and coaching him up, McAdoo didn’t even address the issue. But when troubles arose in the 2017 season, McAdoo had no qualms about throwing Eli Manning under the bus.
As has been noted extensively by NFL betting sites, Manning is not the best quarterback to pick up the pigskin. He has, however, beaten what many consider to be the best QB the NFL has ever seen twice in the Super Bowl. If that’s not enough to earn you some respect, what is? Nevertheless, as many of us expected, the Giants are now without McAdoo and Manning has reprised his role as a starter. Nevertheless, this will not be enough to upset the motivated Eagles this NFL football online Sunday.
The Eagles enter this NFC East rivalry with an 11-2 record that handily gives them the lead in the division. Furthermore, Philadelphia is currently pegged as the best team in the NFC. Most NFL football online sites had the Eagles pegged as the frontrunners to win the NFC as well. However, the recent injury Carson Wentz suffered has left us wondering whether or not this is still the case.
Notwithstanding the fact that the Eagles were able to defeat the Rams this past Sunday with backup Nick Foles finishing up the game, there are still plenty of unanswered questions regarding the Foles-led Eagles. Nevertheless, there’s no reason to believe that the dirty birds will fall short in this New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup.
