As we draw nearer to the end of the regular season, online betting football excitement builds as teams vie to make the playoff cut. This upcoming Monday night, sportsbook players will be able to wager on an AFC North matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers will be looking to lock up their ranking at the top of the AFC North while the Bengals will be looking to place themselves in Wild Card contention. Let’s take a look at what the parlay and pick odds have to say about this Monday night pairing.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals – Monday, December 3rd
When: 8:30 pm ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
Stream: Watch ESPN, NFL Game Pass
Online Betting Football Lines:
Pittsburgh Steelers -5 (-106) 43½ (-110) -225
Cincinnati Bengals +5 (-114) 43½ (-110) +188
The Steelers enter this Monday night matchup sporting a 9-2 record that ranks them 1st in the AFC North ahead of the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh has built up a comfy lead at the top of the division but the Steelers should still do all they can to finish the season on a high note. Right now the Steelers own the No. 1 seed in the AFC, due to the fact that they own a tie breaker over New England – who shares the Steelers’ 9-2 record. Pittsburgh picked up that tie breaker earlier this season when they triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs 19-13. Most online betting football players will agree that the AFC Championship game will likely consist of Pittsburgh and New England. And since beating Brady in Foxborough is damn near impossible, the Steelers can solidify their Super Bowl chances by picking up home field advantage throughout this year’s playoffs.
Looking over the Steelers’ numbers, it’s clear that Pittsburgh has the advantage this Monday night. The Steelers have one of the most explosive offenses in the league since they rank 7th in total offense and 5th through the air. The Bengals rank 32nd in total offense, 27th in passing and penultimate in rushing.
The Bengals pounce into this AFC North rivalry flashing a 5-6 record that ranks them 3rd in the division overall. There’s not much hope for the Bengals to beat out both the Ravens and the Steelers in the division this season. However, as the 8th seed in the AFC, the Orange & Black still have a shot at clinching a Wild Card Berth. They’ll need to overcome the 6-5 Bills; the 7th seed in the AFC, as well as the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens or the 7-4 Jacksonville Jaguars, the conference’s 6th and 5th seed respectively. Sportsbooks are giving the Bengals a fighting chance in Week 13, which likely has something to do with the fact that Cincy enters this matchup riding a 2 game winning streak. Furthermore, the Steelers are coming off a 31-28 win over the Green Bay Packers that most bookmakers were predicting would end in a Pittsburgh blowout. So that doesn’t bode too well for the away team this upcoming Monday night.
