Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers NFC North Rivalry Betting

Aaron Rodgers absolutely took the hinges off the door in his 2018 NFL football betting debut. After getting sacked and having his knee bend awkwardly, Rodgers was seen carted off to the locker room. With his future up in the air, the Packers fell behind the Chicago Bears at home. But after halftime, Rodgers limped back onto the field. And although he wasn’t at 100%, he was still able to pull off another miraculous comeback. Now his status for this Sunday’s Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers matchup is still in the air, but if knowing Rodgers’, legal betting fans can count on No. 12 being in the lineup. Let’s check on the sportsbook odds to see what kind of turnout they’re predicting.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers – Sunday, September 16th
When: 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
Stream: Fox Sports Go, NFL Game Pass
NFL Sports Betting Odds:
The Vikings opened up the season with a dominant 24-16 beating of the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners had a lot of high hopes for the season after seeing how Jimmy G finished up 2017. Unfortunately, Garoppolo was no match for the Vikings’ defensive unit. All in all the Vikings were able to hold the Niners to 351 total offensive yards on the day. On top of that, they held Garoppolo to just 261 yards and were able to pick him off 3 times on the day. Kirk Cousins looked phenomenal in his Minnesota debut, racking up 244 yards, 2 touchdowns and zero interceptions. While the Packers’ defense might not scare Cousins this weekend, Minnesota’s defense will surely be put to the test by Rodgers.
Players to Watch: Kirk Cousins (244 passing yards, 2 TD, 0 INT), Latavius Murray (42 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Adam Thielen (102 receiving yards, 0 TD, 6 REC).
Green Bay Packers
No doubt about it, Green Bay had a close call in their 2018 opener. Last year they lost Rodgers in Week 4 and were a complete mess afterwards. So when the franchise saw him go down and get carted off the field, there’s no question everyone was reminded of how dreadful 2017 was. But in the end, Rodgers came out and proved why he deserves to be the highest paid player in the NFL. Now Rodgers will be looking to get revenge on Minnesota, the team that knocked him out of last year’s action. Even though the team doctors are still undecided, we feel there’s no way Rodgers could pass this opportunity to get back at Minnesota. Not after signing that record deal and especially not at Lambeau.
Players to Watch: Aaron Rodgers (286 passing yards, 3 TD, 0 INT), Jamaal Williams (47 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Randall Cobb (142 receiving yards, 1 TD, 9 REC).
