Online NFL Betting Odds:
Last season, the Minnesota Vikings were the ones to knockout Aaron Rodgers for most of the year. Subsequently, Minnesota would go on to take advantage of a Rodgers-less division by winning the NFC North. Ultimately the Vikings didn’t have much competition as they posted a brilliant 13-3 record. This lead to a 1st round Bye in the playoffs, pairing them against the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round. Obviously the Vikings got the home field advantage here and it came in handy since the game was extremely tight. In the end, Minnesota prevailed 29-24. And although they had high hopes for the NFC conference game, they were humiliated 7-38 by the Eagles in Philadelphia. During the offseason, the Vikings traded their quarterback to bring in Kirk Cousins. Interestingly enough, Case Keenum is now a Bronco.
Players to Watch: Kirk Cousins (4,093 passing yards, 27 TD, 13 INT), Latavius Murray (842 rushing yards, 8 TD, 1 F), and Adam Thielen (1,276 receiving yards, 4 TD, 91 REC).
The Broncos turned in a 5-11 record last season that was a step back from the 9-7 record the team had delivered the year before. Early on, it looked like the Broncos were having some defensive issues. Nevertheless, those issues worked themselves out as the year wore on. However, that didn’t apply to their offense. In fact, Denver’s lack of an offense hindered them throughout the entire season. It should come as no surprise then that Denver hit the quarterback market this offseason and picked up the Vikings’ former QB. Keenum put up some great numbers last year but was greatly propped up by the Vikings’ astute defense. Luckily for Keenum, he’ll have another elite defense behind him in Denver. We’ll have to see how far this duo can get.
Players to Watch: Case Keenum (3,547 passing yards, 22 TD, 7 INT), CJ Anderson (1,007 rushing yards, 1 F, 3 TD), and Demaryius Thomas (949 receiving yards, 5 TD, 83 REC).
