NFL Betting Online Odds:
The Dolphins swim into this Week 4 matchup flashing a 3-0 record that ranks them as the best team in the division. Considering they’ve built a two game lead thus far into the season, Miami will be looking to hold on to that moniker in the coming months. In their last 10 matchups, the Dolphins have posted a 4-6 record against New England. Looking over both team’s numbers, it’s clear Miami could have better luck this time around. Right Miami is putting up 25.0 points per game, which beats out the 19.0 New England is averaging. Similarly, Miami is faring better on defense. Presently the Dolphins are giving up 17.3 per game while the Pats are allotting 25.7 – significantly more. While New England does get the home field advantage, Miami brings enough momentum to topple these Pats on the road. However, it’s unlikely that they enjoy the same type of success against the Patriots that Matt Patricia did the previous weekend.
Players to Watch: Ryan Tannehill (687 passing yards, 7 TD, 2 INT), Kenyan Drake (104 rushing yards, 1 TD, 0 F), and Kenny Stills (184 receiving yards, 3 TD, 9 REC).
New England Patriots
Max Kellerman of ESPN’s First Take has continually warned, much to the ridicule of others, that Tom Brady is rapidly approaching the cliff. The cliff, Kellerman claims, represents the inevitability of time, meaning that Brady is getting too old to compete in the national football league. Right now Brady’s numbers don’t necessarily back up that claim, but New England’s 1-2 record isn’t swept under the rug so easily. However, this is the Patriots were talking about and it’s only Week 4. More often than not, Belichick is able to right all the wrongs on this ship. But this time around, there’s a bit of drama brewing in New England. It’s all a consequence of Brady undermining his head coach. Belichick wanted Jimmy G to pick up the reigns from under Brady. Brady on the other hand, had other plans and had to get the ear of Robert Kraft in order to get his way. On top of that, Gronk undermined his coach as well. The story goes that Belichick wanted to trade Gronk to Detroit but Gronk threatened to retire under that situation. In the end, the Pats chose to listen to their players over their coach. We might be seeing the fallout of that questionable decision.
Players to Watch: Tom Brady (644 passing yards, 6 TD, 2 INT), Rex Burkhead (86 rushing yards, 0 TD, 1 F), and Rob Gronkowski (189 receiving yards, 1 TD, 13 REC).
