Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills: Are Bills Destined to go 0-2?
Posted by: Anthony Yaylor
After making the playoffs last season and ending the longest postseason drought in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills have had a terrible start to the NFL sports betting season. Hailed as the new face of the franchise, Nathan Peterman could not have had a worst first impression. What’s worse is that Tyrod Taylor didn’t have a terrible outing in his debut, throwing the club’s decision making process into question. Nevertheless, Peterman & Co. will be looking to right this wrong in this Sunday’s Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills matchup. Let’s check the legal betting online odds to see where the best action lies.

Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers had a rough go in their season opener, losing a close match against their divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs 38-28. The loss can be attributed to Patrick Mahomes, who absolutely knocked our socks off in his 2018 debut. Mahomes carved the Chargers secondary for 256 yards and a whopping 4 touchdowns. This is troubling because Los Angeles was great against the pass last season, but it’s clear they’re having a tougher go this time around. Granted, Bosa was in the lineup which greatly impacts their pass rush. And while the Chargers offense looked alright in their opener, racking up 547 total yards of offense, the fact that they could only put 28 on the board puts their offensive prowess in question. Luckily they’ll get to show off against the Bills this upcoming Sunday.
Players to Watch: Philip Rivers (424 passing yards, 3 TD, 1 INT), Melvin Gordon (64 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Keenan Allen (108 receiving yards, 1 TD, 8 REC).
The Bills lost their season opener in the worst way possible, conceding a 47-3 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. Since the Ravens are coming off a bad season and weren’t projected as being one of the AFC’s elite teams, this loss is very concerning. The biggest question is what they’re going to do at the quarterback position. Peterman was hailed as the man who would build on last year’s success. Instead, it’s looking like he’ll be tearing things down instead of building. We saw him get benched in the second half of the game and it’ll be interesting to see what Buffalo decides to do this upcoming weekend.
Players to Watch: Nathan Peterman (24 passing yards, 0 TD, 2 INT), Marcus Murphy (31 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Zay Jones (26 receiving yards, 0 TD, 3 REC).
