Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs emerged victorious from a gritty matchup versus the Minnesota Vikings with a 26-23 scoreboard. QB Matt Moore was 25/35 with 275 passing yards and contributed an important passing touchdown. Damien Williams also rushed for a touchdown and ran 125 yards. His 12 carries strongly affected the flow of the game. Tyreek Hill claimed the receivers’ leadership with 6 receptions pegged at 140 yardage gain.

The Kansas City Chiefs are unstoppable once they have their offensive machine in full gear. The 377 yards that they gained was thanks mostly to a varied offense. The Chiefs rushed 18 times out of 58 plays. It’s a stat that’s usually seen in lower-tier teams, but the Chiefs are able to make this tactic work due to their high defensive skill. They shut down the opponent’s defense with a throw completion rate of only 50%. They were a bit lax in opponent runs, however, and allowed 27 runs. While they conceded 308 yards, the Chiefs were still superior in terms of yardage gain and scoring.

The Chiefs are right smack in the middle of the NFL variety of teams. They’re the decent-to-good type of team that can still produce surprises.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans started strong but eventually fell against the Carolina Panthers with a 30-20 scoreboard. QB Ryan Tannehill was all heart with his 27/39 and 331-yard record. He also managed to throw 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Derrick Henry was running for 13 carry plays, accumulating a total of 63 yards. AJ Brown brought up the receivers circle with 4 receptions on an 81-yardage gain.

The Tennessee Titans badly need to improve their offensive stats. They are pegged as one of the lowest point-producing teams in the NFL nowadays. They are also weak in terms of the rushing game. Their defense can choke other teams, but they can’t answer back with good offense, which brings them at a severe disadvantage. In the previous game alone, the Titans gained 431 yards as opposed to the opponent’s 370 yards. This is usually a sign of good defense. However, they still lost by a significant margin- a sign of bad offense.

The Titans need to tidy up their act to be able to hold a candle in their remaining matchups.
