This weekend’s Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars matchup is a must win for both teams. Houston suffered a big hiccup in the opening part of the 2018 football betting online season but has bounced back in a big way by winning their last 3 matches consecutively. The Jaguars on the other hand, have lost their last two in a row and could use a massive rebound this Sunday. What kind of outcome are the sportsbook betting odds predicting for this Week 7 matchup?

Football Betting Online Odds:
The Texans enter this Week 7 pairing sporting a 3-3 record that puts them in the running for the lead in the AFC South. Right now the top 3 teams in the division, the Titans, Texans and Jaguars, are all sitting at 3-3. With that in mind, it’s clear this weekend’s matchup will play a direct hand in shaping up this division. By the looks of it, the football betting online odds are sticking with Jacksonville rather severely. This is interesting because the Texans come into this matchup with a bit of momentum while the Jaguars are clearly in a slump. Sure Jacksonville brings a top 3 defense into this matchup, but that top 3 defense just gave up 40 points to a team that hand scored more than 27 all season long. Having said that, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Watson have some success on the road this Sunday.
Players to Watch: Deshaun Watson (1,798 passing yards, 9 TD, 7 INT), Lamar Miller (271 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and DeAndre Hopkins (657 receiving yards, 3 TD, 44 REC).
The Jaguars are coming off a 40-7 blowout loss to the Cowboys that saw them fall to 3-3. It was shocking to see Jacksonville give up that many points, seeing as they had been pretty good all season long. However, the previous week they did lose to the Chiefs 30-14. Clearly Dallas was able to find some weaknesses in that tape and they certainly exploited them. On the other hand, it wasn’t really surprising to see the Jaguars fail to score more than 7 points. Bortles is a very inconsistent quarterback who will be good for a couple highlights a year. But he certainly isn’t a franchise quarterback and he’s proven that he’s unable to be counted upon in tough games.
Players to Watch: Blake Bortles (1,674 passing yards, 9 TD, 8 INT), TJ Yeldon (299 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 F), and Dede Westbrook (387 receiving yards, 2 TD, 27 REC).
