Houston Texans

As aforementioned, the Texans are 0-3 this season. Looking over their schedule, it’s safe to say that Houston has vastly underperformed. All in all the franchise looked alright in their 2018 debut, losing respectably to the New England Patriots 27-20 on the road. The following week Houston suffered another respectable loss. That happened to be a 20-17 loss to the Titans, once again on the road. This past weekend, Houston once again tasted defeat. This time against the New York Giants 27-22 and this time playing at home. While the first two losses of the season were respectable, last weekend’s wasn’t Furthermore, 3 straight losses is far from respectable. So where do the problems lie for Houston? Simply put, the Texans defense isn’t that strong and their offense isn’t picking up the slack either. Right now Houston is putting up 19.7 per game while giving up 24.7 on defense. However, this team looks like it’s on the verge of clicking. Once they do, they should be able to be a threat against any team.

Players to Watch: Deshaun Watson (871 passing yards, 5 TD, 3 INT), Lamar Miller (176 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and DeAndre Hopkins (274 receiving yards, 1 TD, 20 REC).

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts march into this weekend’s action flashing a 1-2 record that ranks them as the 3rd worst team in the AFC South. Right now the division is heralded by the Titans and Jaguars, both of whom are 2-1 this season. With that in mind, Indy could really use a win this weekend to get right back into the mix of things. Considering that Indy is 2-1 in their last 3 matchups against Houston, it’s looking like they should be able to get the job done at home. Numbers wise the Colts don’t have much of an edge over Houston. However, the Colts do have a +1 turnover differential this season while Houston is sitting at -2. We’ll have to see how big of a role turnovers play in this one.

Players to Watch: Andrew Luck (662 passing yards, 5 TD, 3 INT), Jordan Wilkins (120 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and TY Hilton (179 receiving yards, 2 TD, 17 REC).
