Denver Broncos

The Broncos ride into this weekend’s action sporting a decent 2-2 record. They picked up back-to-back wins over the Seahawks and the Raiders through the first two weeks of the season, 27-24 and 20-19 respectively. Nevertheless, Denver would hit a hiccup the following two weeks against the Ravens on the road and the Chiefs at home. The matchup against the Ravens resulted in a 27-14 road loss and the Chiefs game saw Denver fall to 2-2 after a 27-23 finish. With consecutive losses hanging over them, Denver is a bit anxious to get this win on Sunday. Fortunately they’re going up against a New York team that is riddled with their own fair share of problems.

Players to Watch: Case Keenum (988 passing yards, 3 TD, 6 INT), Philip Lindsay (267 rushing yards, 1 TD, 0 F), and Emmanuel Sanders (314 receiving yards, 1 TD, 24 REC).

New York Jets

The Jets tumble into this weekend’s action sporting a 1-3 record that ranks them 3rd in the AFC East. Four weeks into the season and New York is already sinking down the divisional ladder. This is probably somewhat surprising for New York fans, given that they opened the season with a dominant 48-17 win over the Detroit Lions. Nevertheless, things have gone downhill since. In Week 2 the Jets suffered a 20-12 loss to the Dolphins before losing 21-17 to the Browns the following Sunday. Although they weren’t blown out, these were matchups the Jets should’ve won. Unfortunately for the Jets, they’re having a tough time developing Darnold. Although Darnold’s numbers look pretty good for a 1st year rook, he’s certainly struggling to win games in the crunch. Considering this matchup against the Broncos will likely come down to some 4th quarter heroics, it will be up to Darnold to get the job done. Fortunately for the rook, his counterpart – Case Keenum, doesn’t pose much of a 4th quarter threat himself.

Players to Watch: Sam Darnold (868 passing yards, 4 TD, 5 INT), Isaiah Crowell (171 rushing yards, 4 TD, 0 F), and Quincy Enuwa (278 receiving yards, 1 TD, 1 F).
