Denver Broncos

The Broncos step into this weekend’s matchup sporting a 3-4 record that ranks them as the 3rd best team in the AFC West. Right now the division is led by the 6-1 Kansas City Chiefs, so it’s safe to say that Denver is already too far behind in the divisional race. The online NFL betting odds aren’t giving the Broncos much of a shot this weekend, which makes sense considering that they’re 0-3 against the Chiefs in their last 3 meetings. On top of that, the Chiefs got the best of Denver earlier this season 27-23. However, that matchup would suggest that Denver gave the Chiefs a tough time, putting that 10-point spread line into question. All in all, the Chiefs have gotten much better since that contest while Denver hasn’t really shown too much improvement. Granted, they’re coming off a dominant win. But then again, you can’t really compare the Cardinals to the AFC West leading Chiefs.

Players to Watch: Case Keenum (1,848 passing yards, 8 TD, 9 INT), Philip Lindsay (436 rushing yards, 2 TD, 0 F), and Emmanuel Sanders (603 receiving yards, 3 TD, 46 REC).

Kansas City Chiefs

KC enters this weekend’s matchup ready to build on their divisional lead by picking apart a rival. Although they’re 1-1 in their last 2, it seems unlikely that Denver will give Kansas City as big of a problem as New England did. On top of that, the Chiefs are coming off a massive 45-10 win over the Bengals and have enough momentum and confidence to dominate Denver at home. Since Kansas City is scoring 37.1 per game while Denver is struggling to deliver 23.6, it’s clear that the Broncos will have a hard time keeping pace with the Chiefs high-powered offense. And while Denver was able to hold Kansas City to 27 the last time they met, this is a much more experienced team they’ll be facing this weekend. At the end of the day, the Chiefs are just too strong for Denver.

Players to Watch: Patrick Mahomes (2,223 passing yards, 22 TD, 5 INT), Kareem Hunt (542 rushing yards, 5 TD, 0 F), and Tyreek Hill (635 receiving yards, 7 TD, 41 REC).
