The Cowboys tangled with the Buffalo Bills and took the fall. They were outscored with a 26-15 final score. QB Dak Prescott was the Cowboys’ unrelenting hero, going for 32/49 with 355 air yards. He chucked in 2 thrown TDs and an interception. Ezekiel Elliott supported the QB’s efforts by carrying the ball 12 times. He earned 71 yards for the team. The number one receiver was Amari Cooper, catching the ball 8 times for 85 yards.
The Dallas Cowboys simply didn’t give enough thought to defense. They let too many opponent attempts to pass through uncontested. The stats say it all. The Cowboys allowed a worrisome 80% completion rate on throws. Their nonexistent rush defense was also troublesome. They were forced to concede 34 rush attempts to their opponent. This was obviously the reason why they got buried beneath a slew of touchdowns.
The Cowboys only used the rush tactic for 19 out of 72 plays. This is a very low number. While teams with mixed offensive capabilities can make this work, it just won’t make the cut if there’s no effort to put up a solid defense. The Cowboys need to review their defensive tactics if they’re hoping to increase their win rate on this one.

The Bears are fresh from two successive wins. The team is depending greatly on QB Mitch Trubisky. During their losing games, he just completes a mere 57.4 % of passes, averaging 162.2 yards for every game. However during the two rampaging wins, Trubisky improved his record to 68.3% pass completion rate, and actually covered an average of 308 air yards per game.
The Bears are also benefiting from two really good receivers, Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller. Miller is a rising star who, like Trubisky, has performed well in the most recent games. In his past 3 games, Miller has hit an average of 7 receptions and extended the team’s territory to 90.3 yards.
Things are looking good for the Bears. They should ride on top of the successive victories and make a surprise comeback against their upcoming opponents. As long as they continue to play their tactics well and take care of their players, they can manage to pull off surprises even against higher-tier teams.
