Cowboys Vying To Avenge Their Only Loss of the Season

Giants vs Cowboys odds and analysis NFL Week 14

What can be said about this year’s Dallas Cowboys that hasn’t already been said? They’re young, extremely talented, and quite possibly the most promising team in the entire NFL. But Cowboys fans didn’t have to wait for their youth to translate to success as this year’s Cowboys took the entire league by storm. The NFL sportsbooks were predicting mild success for Dallas and in Week 1 it looked like the sportsbooks were correct when the Cowboys lost their first game against the New York Giants. But Dallas took that pain and converted it into a hate of losing and since that Week 1 snuff the Cowboys have gone undefeated. Several months later and the Dak Prescott-led Cowboys are the undisputed online NFL betting favorites, and in Week 14 Dallas will get a chance to avenge their only loss of the season. The Giants haven’t been nearly as impressive as the Cowboys and are obviously going to come into this game as the underdogs. Let’s see what the football betting lines have to say about this NFC East matchup.

NFL Odds – Week 14 – Sunday, December 11th

New York Giants +3 (-105) 47½ (-110)
Dallas Cowboys -3 (-115) 47½ (-110)

Surprisingly enough, the online NFL betting odds are giving the Giants a fighting chance in their contest against their heated rivals. The Cowboys are America’s team but at the same time they are one of the most hated teams in the NFL. To put it simply, you either love Dallas or you hate them and very few hate Dallas quite like the New York Giants and their passionate fans. New York will need a win this Sunday, not to take back the division but to stay relevant in the Wild Card race. Dallas has a 3-game lead over the Giants – who are currently 2nd in the NFC East – but it’s hard to imagine the Cowboys losing the rest of their games, especially when considering the trials that Prescott and company have already overcome this season.

Dallas is the proud owner of the best record in the NFL. They’ll be coming into this contest at 11-1, but it certainly hasn’t been an easy road. The Cowboys have had to overcome both easy opposition and some of the toughest teams in the league, but each and every time Dallas has answered the call. Behind the ineffable talents of Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot, the Cowboys will be coming into Sunday’s game with the 2nd best rushing offense in the league, as well as the NFL’s 19th best passing offense. But not only can the Cowboys move the ball, with the 5th best scoring average, Dallas has no problem finding the end zone. On top of that, their ball possession isn’t too shabby. Prescott has only thrown two interceptions this entire season; is there anyone else who can take the Rookie of the Year award away from this awesome stud? The Giants don’t have a terrible defense, but it isn’t nearly good enough to slow down this year’s NFC online NFL betting Super Bowl favorites.
