Cleveland Browns vs New England Patriots 10/27/2019
The Browns are fresh from a loss against the Seattle Seahawks. It was quite a close game that closed at 32-28. QB Baker Mayfield pumped in maximum effort with 22/37 and 249 passing yards. He was rewarded with a thrown TD and 3 interceptions. Nick Chubb was also rushing behind the rally, with 122 yardages gained via 20 carries. He further added 2 rushing touchdowns, plus an awesome long run at 52 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. received the ball 6 times, earning the team an additional 101 yards. The Browns were playing with their hearts on their sleeves. Unfortunately, that was not enough to drown out their opponent’s offensive salvos. The Browns gave up 454 yards as opposed to their own gain of 406 yards. This yardage disadvantaged probably made a big difference in securing points later on in the game. Cleveland Browns allowed a 70% completion rate on the opponent’s 33 attempts. This is another factor that caused the opponent to surge forward in points.
The Browns are, by nature, a low-scoring team. In this regard, they compensate with a very tight defense. The previous matchup, however, was the opposite- the Browns put points on the board, but were lacking in defense. The Browns need to find a healthy balance of offense and defense to make their game plans work out.

New England Patriots
The Patriots cruised through the New York Jets in their last game. It was like seeing a sledgehammer pounding a pea. Seeing the 33-0 scoreboard already hinted of a mismatch. QB Tom Brady had his eyes on the MVP trophy when he went for a 31/45 and 294 passing yards performance. He was able to chuck in 1 touchdown. Sony Michel wanted to share in the free-for-all shootout and did 19 carries at 42 yards. He rushed for 3 touchdowns that further increased his team’s already-high morale. James White tallied 59 yards via 7 catches. There’s nothing much to say about how the Patriots performed. They brought in their maximum strength against a lower-ranked team, and the outcome was already inevitable. The only thing to predict is how high or low the point-gap would be. They are the team to beat for this season, and the other high-ranked teams should already be developing strategies that would be able to counter their plays.
