The Bears are having a highly successful season and, since they’re coming off a win over the Vikings, will be looking to solidify their divisional lead here. NFL Football Betting Odds:
The Bears pounce into this Week 12 matchup sporting a 7-3 record that ranks them as the best team in the NFC North. With the 5-4-1 Vikings ranked second in the North, it’s looking like the Bears are starting to create a small lead for themselves. Entering this Thanksgiving day matchup riding a 4-game winning streak, Chicago has no plans of losing on the road. By the looks of it, the NFL football betting odds aren’t expecting them to. This likely has to do with the 34-22 whooping Chicago put on Detroit just two weeks ago. And even though Chicago is 2-8 in their last 10 meetings against the Lions, it’s pretty clear that things will go differently this time around. After all, the Lions have been a mess this season while Chicago improves week in and week out.
Players to Watch: Mitchell Trubisky (2,469 passing yards, 20 TD, 9 INT), Jordan Howard (523 rushing yards, 5 TD, 1 F), and Taylor Gabriel (478 receiving yards, 2 TD, 44 REC).
The Lions charge into this NFC North matchup sporting a 4-6 record that pegs them as the worst team in the division. With a 1-3 record in their last 4, it’s pretty clear that the Lions stumble into this matchup. However, Detroit is coming off a big 20-19 win over the Panthers and will be looking to build on that momentum at home. Looking over the numbers, it’s clear they won’t have an easy time doing so. Right now the Bears are scoring 29.4 per game, which clearly beats the 22.2 that Detroit earns. Defensively things are equally lopsided with Detroit giving up 26.3 per matchup and the Bears allotting 19.5 to their opponents. All in all it’s looking like Thanksgiving will be celebrated extra hard in Chicago this upcoming Thursday.
Players to Watch: Matthew Stafford (2,605 passing yards, 17 TD, 8 INT), Kerryon Johnson (641 rushing yards, 3 TD, 1 F), and Kenny Golladay (714 receiving yards, 5 TD, 47 REC).
