NFL Football Betting Odds:
Los Angeles Chargers
Coming off a 9-7 season, the Chargers are well aware that they have the talent to make a push for the playoffs. Especially when considering that 2017 was Anthony Lynn’s first season at the helm. Lynn took over for Mike McCoy last season and was able to take a 5-11 squad and lead them to a winning season. That’s quite a turn around and Lynn will now have a team who he’s proven himself to behind him. All things considered, the Chargers have the weapons to be a threat in the AFC West. They’ll certainly need to develop them a bit and Lynn is just the man to do so.
Players to Watch: Philip Rivers (4,515 passing yards, 28 TD, 10 INT), Melvin Gordon (1,105 rushing yards, 8 TD, 0 F), and Keenan Allen (1,393 receiving yards, 6 TD, 102 REC).
The Cardinals turned in a so-so 8-8 record to finish 3rd in the NFC West’s standings. This was a step up from the 7-8-1 record the team turned in the previous year but by the smallest of measures. Granted, the Cardinals lost David Johnson early in the year and they faltered from that point forward. As for 2018, Arizona has a hole to fill at the quarterback position. The team brought in Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon to fill that hole but they’re hoping to develop Josh Rosen for the future. The preseason will let us see where they stand on this.
Players to Watch: Sam Bradford (382 passing yards, 3 TD, 0 INT), David Johnson (Missed most of 2017 with Injury), and Larry Fitzgerald (1,156 receiving yards, 6 TD, 109 REC).
