This Sunday’s Buffalo Bills vs. Indianapolis Colts matchup isn’t all that intriguing, given how poor both sides are struggling. Buffalo Bills

The Bills enter this Week 7 matchup sporting a 2-4 record that pegs them as the worst team in the AFC East. The quarterback situation has been the biggest problem for Buffalo this season. During the off-season the Bills decided to trade away last year’s starter, Tyrod Taylor, confident they could develop their rookie talent into a new starting role. Unfortunately that didn’t pan out for the Bills as Nathan Peterman’s start was a disaster. And although Josh Allen was able to step in and find modest success, it still didn’t validate the Taylor trade. Furthermore, Allen recently got banged up and is expected to miss several weeks. To help fill that void, Buffalo signed veteran Derek Anderson. Anderson is now expected to step in and be Allen’s mentor. On top of that, Anderson will have the starting role as long as Allen is out. Will the addition of a veteran quarterback be enough to topple the ill-fated Colts? The online NFL betting odds certainly seem to think so.

Players to Watch: Josh Allen (832 passing yards, 2 TD, 5 INT), LeSean McCoy (243 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Zay Jones (199 receiving yards, 1 TD, 16 REC).

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts ride into this weekend’s matchup flashing a 1-5 record that ranks them dead last in the AFC South. However, the division is currently led by the 3-3 Titans, placing Indy just two games behind the division lead. Theoretically, thanks to how poor everyone in the division has been playing, the Colts could make a turnaround and make a push for an AFC South title. Offensively the Colts haven’t been all that dangerous despite having Luck under center. And on the other side of the ball, Indy has been right out awful. In fact, the Colts currently rank 30th in the NFL in points allowed with a total of 30.0 points allotted per matchup. With that in mind, it’s clear Anderson won’t have such a hard time making his first start as a Buffalo Bill.

Players to Watch: Andrew Luck (1,792 passing yards, 16 TD, 8 INT), Jordan Wilkins (175 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Eric Ebron (326 receiving yards, 6 TD, 30 REC).
