Have the Bears Found their QB?
The Chicago Bears took some heat this past draft for trading up one pick to snag North Carolina Mitchell Trubisky as the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. This moved raised questions around the league but Chicago stuck to its convictions, claiming that Trubisky was one of the best quarterback prospects. The Bears recently parted ways with Jay Cutler and the franchise needs strong play from their quarterback.
Undrafted Rookie Could Get a Starting Job
The Seahawks, and Pete Carroll, employ one of the most competitive regimes in the league. Seattle believes that brewing competition amongst every position results in the best possible lineup, and whichever round players got drafted in is no hindrance to this philosophy. Enter Jordan Roos, an undrafted rookie who could potentially snag a starting job.
“He looks like he fits right in,” the Seahawks’ head coach told reporters. “I was really, really happy about that, because we’re trying to keep that whole position as competitive as possible.”
Myles Garrett getting some HoF Help
The Cleveland Browns decided to snag Myles Garrett with the No. pick, but that decision was met from criticism. Specifically, people felt that Garrett’s on-field performances were not worthy of the No. 1 pick. Well Bruce Smith, the NFL’s all-time leading sack specialist has decided to give Garrett some tips.
“That I was slow off the ball,” Garrett told reporters at Cleveland’s minicamp. “Every now and the, a couple plays. He was just like, ‘Yeah, you just need to be faster.”
