Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens fly into this weekend’s divisional matchup sporting a 3-1 record that ranks them 2nd in the AFC North. Although Baltimore shares a 3-1 record with the Bengals, Cincinnati defeated the Ravens in Week 2 34-23, thus giving them the lead in the division. Nevertheless, Baltimore is coming off a huge 26-14 win over the Steelers and will be looking to pick up another AFC North victory this Sunday. All in all the Browns haven’t had much luck against Baltimore lately, posting a 2-8 record in their last 10 meetings. However, this year’s Cleveland team is an entirely different unit. But at the same time, it’s no understatement to say that Mayfield hasn’t faced a defense like Baltimore’s. Right now the Ravens rank 3rd in the NFL in points allowed and 5th in scoring. It’s going to be tough for a rookie to overcome that big of a challenge.

Players to Watch: Joe Flacco (1,252 passing yards, 8 TD, 2 INT), Alex Collins (158 rushing yards, 2 TD, 2 F), and John Brown (338 receiving yards, 3 TD, 15 REC).

Cleveland Browns

The Browns enter this weekend’s action sporting a 1-2-1 record that ranks them 3rd in the AFC North. The franchise kicked the season off by tying the Steelers at home 21-21. Afterwards the Browns lost a tough one to New Orleans 21-18. However, the fact that they were able to hold Drew Brees & the Saints to just 21 points shows this team has the ability to deter explosive offenses. Unfortunately for Mayfield, the Browns defense wasn’t that strong in the team’s most recent matchup against the Raiders. Facing the winless Oakland Raiders, many online NFL wagering fans had picked Mayfield to get the job done. Unfortunately, his defense gave up a whopping 45 points. And although Mayfield was able to get 42 for his team, a couple of costly turnovers and some questionable calls cost him the game. We’ll get to see just how competent Mayfield is this weekend as he faces off against a top-level defense. Surprisingly, the odds are giving Mayfield and the Browns a fighting chance.

Players to Watch: Baker Mayfield (496 passing yards, 2 TD, 2 INT), Carlos Hyde (285 rushing yards, 5 TD, 1 F), and Jarvis Landry (312 receiving yards, 1 TD, 24 REC).
