Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams: Breakout Day for LA?
Posted by: Charlie Smith
The Los Angeles Rams wielded the best offense in NFL football betting last season. And with a 33-13 win over the Oakland Raiders in their 2018 debut, the Rams have picked up right where they left off. So, in this weekend’s Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams matchup, we can expect the Rams to have yet another massive offensive day. Let’s check on the NFL sportsbook odds to see which legal bets are most worthwhile off this weekend’s action.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams – Sunday, September 16th
When: 4:05 pm ET
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California
Stream: NFL Game Pass, Fox Sports Go
NFL Football Betting Odds:
The Cards fly into this matchup healing their wounds after suffering a 24-6 loss in Week 1 to the Washington Redskins. Despite the fact that they were playing at home, Arizona was unable to open up the year with any type of success. Quarterback Sam Bradford vastly underperformed, throwing for under 200 yards, zero touchdowns and of course he had to throw an interception. It’s interesting because Bradford is coming off some very successful seasons over the last couple of years. However, it’s becoming apparent that Bradford only found success thanks to the strong blanket of security Minnesota’s defense provided. Take that away and we’re left with the same unsuccessful version of Bradford we had seen for most of his career. Johnson is back after missing most of last season with an injury but failed to live up to his past image. It’s looking like it’ll be a long season for the Cards.
Players to Watch: Sam Bradford (153 passing yards, 0 TD, 1 INT), David Johnson (37 rushing yards, 1 TD, 0 F), and Larry Fitzgerald (76 receiving yards, 0 TD, 7 REC).
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams looked pretty good in their debut. Early on the Raiders were keeping pace with Los Angeles, but once the 4th quarter rolled around, Los Angeles let it fly. The offense racked up 373 total yards on the day, 233 through the air and a whopping 140 on the ground. The defense didn’t look as sharp as we remember since they gave up a total of 398 yards. However, they were able to force 3 interceptions on the day. Ultimately we can expect the Rams to have a breakout day this Sunday and the defense to deliver better numbers over a struggling Bradford.
Players to Watch: Jared Goff (233 passing yards, 2 TD, 0 INT), Todd Gurley II (108 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Brandin Cooks (87 receiving yards, 0 TD, 5 REC).
