Baseball Betting Online Odds:
The Cowboys are coming off an 8-5 season that saw Wyoming finish 3rd overall in the Mountain West football conference. They were able to lock up that divisional spot thanks to the 5-3 record the Cowboys posted in MW conference play. Obviously they didn’t get a chance to compete for the conference championship, but the season was still successful. However, it wasn’t much of a step up from the 8-6 record that Wyoming had turned in the previous year. Nevertheless, Craig Bohl will make his return this upcoming season to lead this team once again. This will mark Bohl’s 5th season serving as Wyoming’s head coach.
Players to Watch: Nick Smith(471 passing yards, 2 TD, 2 INT), Trey Woods (493 rushing yards, 2 TD, 3.2 AVG), and Austin Conway (549 receiving yards, 3 TD, 61 REC).
New Mexico State Aggies
The Aggies were hoping for a turnaround season in 2017 and the program was able to deliver just that. After finishing the 2016 season with a 3-9 record, New Mexico wasn’t setting the bar very high in 2017. Nevertheless, the team was still able to deliver a 7-6 winning performance. On top of that, they finished with a respectable 4-4 performance in the Sun Belt conference. This lead to a 5th place ranking in the conference, placing them right in the middle of the pack. And while New Mexico didn’t get a chance to compete in a conference championship, they did get an invite to the Arizona Bowl. There they faced Utah State in a 26-20 overtime triumph.
Players to Watch: Tyler Rogers (4,016 passing yards, 27 TD, 18 INT), Jason Huntley (420 rushing yards, 1 TD, 6.0 AVG), and Jaleel Scott (1,079 passing yards, 9 TD, 76 REC).
