USC Trojans

The Trojans are coming off a highly successful 11-3 season and will be looking to build on that success this time around. Considering they kicked the season off with a dominant 43-21 pounding of UNLV, it’s safe to say that they’re doing just that. Granted, Stanford will pose a much larger problem than UNLV ever could. And while the Cardinal looked dominant in their 2018 outing, the Trojans defense looked superb. After all, they kicked the season off with a whopping 5 sacks. No doubt USC will be turning to their defense this Saturday to put them in a position to win. But since Stanford has gotten the best of the Trojans in their last 10 matchups 6 games to 4, USC will also need their offense to be on point this weekend.

Players to Watch: JT Daniels (282 passing yards, 1 TD, 0 INT), Aca’Cedric Ware (100 rushing yards, 1 TD, 10.0 AVG), and Amon-Ra St. Brown (98 receiving yards, 1 TD, 7 REC).

Stanford Cardinal

The Cardinal finished last year’s action with a 9-5 record but will be looking for better results this time around. All in all they’ve done a good job so far considering they delivered a 31-10 finish against their 1st opponent of the season. It took Stanford a while to get going however, since they didn’t put any points on the board until the 2nd quarter was almost finished. The Cardinal defense was on point all day long but especially in the second half. Testament to this is the fact that they outgained their opponent 382-263. As for this weekend’s matchup, Stanford has averaged more points than USC in their last 10 matchups 30.20 to 26.60. With those figures in mind, it’s looking like Stanford is the safest option ahead of this weekend’s action.

Players to Watch: KJ Costello (332 passing yards, 4 TD, 1 INT), Bryce Love (29 rushing yards, 0 TD, 1.6 AVG), and JJ Arcega-Whiteside (226 receiving yards, 6 REC, 3 TD).

USC Trojans vs. Stanford Cardinal Betting Picks

So which way should mobile betting players lean in this USC Trojans vs. Stanford Cardinal matchup? All things considered, Stanford is probably the better option here. Sure the Trojans pummeled their Week 1 opponent but most of those points came in the 4th quarter. Playing on the road against a much more talented team, USC will have a much tougher time getting the win this weekend. That said, the upset odds out on the Trojans are a good option for fans who think they’ll get the job done. Sign up today to make your online betting prediction!
