2018 Peach Bowl Betting Picks

Without a doubt this year’s Peach Bowl matchups is one of the more promising pairings of this football betting NCAA’s lineup. This year’s match will pit No. 10 Florida against No. 7 Michigan in a contest that is sure to deliver some breathtaking thrills. The Wolverines are eager to get some recognition after losses to Notre Dame and Ohio State dampened what was a near flawless season. Some legal betting fans who bet on Michigan this season might strongly disagree with the flawless notion, given that they went 6-6 ATS this season and 0-3 in their final 3 games of the season. The Gators on the other hand, won their final 3 games of the season and finished 8-4 ATS overall. So what kind of turnout are the Peach Bowl betting lines predicting?

Florida Gators

The Gators swim into this weekend’s Peach Bowl contest sporting a 9-3 record. Included in there was a 5-3 record in SEC play that saw them finish 2nd overall in the East division of the conference. The football betting NCAA odds are pegging Florida as a heavy underdog this weekend, but what do the stats have to say about this pairing? Well they certainly don’t give the Gators an edge. In fact, despite scoring 34.5 per game, Florida’s offense still pales to Michigan’s which is scoring 36.8 per matchup. Similarly the Wolverines also take the edge on defense since they’re giving up 17.6 per game while Florida allots 20.4. However Michigan comes in a bit banged up and Florida will be looking to take full advantage of those backups.

Players to Watch: Feleipe Franks (2,284 passing yards, 23 TD, 6 INT), Lamical Perine (750 rushing yards, 6 TD, 5.9 AVG), and Van Jefferson (439 receiving yards, 6 TD, 31 REC).

Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines rush into this Saturday’s matchup sporting a 10-2 record that ranks them No. 1 overall in the Big Ten East. Unfortunately for the program they suffered a 62-39 blowout to Ohio State in their final game of the season. This ultimately caused them to lose the bid to the conference championship and was all around pretty crappy way to end the season. Fortunately for Michigan they now have a shot at redemption in this Saturday’s Peach Bowl. Pegged as the favorite, it will be up to Michigan’s ground game to propel them to a postseason victory.

Players to Watch: Shea Patterson (2,364 passing yards, 21 TD, 5 INT), Karan Higdon (1,178 rushing yards, 10 TD, 5.3 AVG), and Nico Collins (552 receiving yards, 6 TD, 33 REC).
