Your new New Year’s resolution: doing CFP NCAAF betting

New Year’s Eve provides us with not one, but two opportunities to bet on college football online. And not just any two chances, but actually the College Football Playoffs (CFP) semifinal games – otherwise known as the Peach Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl (both of which you can wager on here at BetNow sportsbook).

•What? 2016 Peach Bowl
•When? Saturday, December 31st
•Where? Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia.
•NCAAF betting lines? No. 4 Washington Huskies +16 (-110) 54½ (-110) +625
No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide -16 (-110) 54½ (-110) -950
•What? 2016 Fiesta Bowl
•When? Saturday, December 31st
•Where? University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona
•NCAAF betting lines? Ohio State Buckeyes -3 (-120) 60½ (-110) -158
Clemson Tigers +3 (EV) 60½ (-110) +138

The College Football Playoff National Championship will do for Mondays what the CFP semis will do for New Year’s – that is, actually make one look forward to it.

•What? 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship
•When? Monday, January 9th.
•Where? Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
•Match-up? Fiesta Bowl winner (presumably Clemson) vs. Peach Bowl winner (c’mon, who’re we kidding here?)

If you simply cannot wait until the last day of the year, well then, you would still have to wait till the next-to-the-last, but hey, that’s a whole 24 fewer hours of waiting – or a whole season of 24.

•What? 2016 Orange Bowl
•When? Friday, December 30th
•Where? Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida
•Betting lines? Florida State Seminoles +7 (-120) 55 (-110) +225
Michigan Wolverines -7 (EV) 55 (-110) -265

Similarly, if the period between December 31st and January 9th seems like an awful long time – or just plain awful –, rest easy; you will get a reprieve on the second day of the year.

•What? 2017 Cotton Bowl Classic
•When? Monday, January 2nd
•Where? AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas
•Betting lines? Western Michigan Broncos +8½ (-120) 54 (-110) +255
Wisconsin Badgers -8½ (EV) 54 (-110) -310

•What? 2017 Rose Bowl
•When? Monday, January 2nd
•Where? Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California
•Betting lines? USC Trojans -7½ (+115) 62½ (-110) -275
Penn State Nittany Lions +7½ (-135) 62½ (-110) +235

•What? 2017 Sugar Bowl
•When? Monday, January 2nd
•Where? Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
•Betting lines? Auburn Tigers +4 (-110) 62½ (-110) +165
Oklahoma Sooners -4 (-110) 62½ (-110) -190

There, like an almond, is the NCAA football postseason schedule in a nutshell. It’s going to be a long December but there is reason to believe that maybe next year will be better than the last, in particular with what awaits us starting on December 31st and all the way to January 9th. And afterward? Well, it will pretty much be a college football-less void for most of the year during which our lives will lack purpose and meaning, so let’s all enjoy what we have while we have it.
