NCAAF Big 12 – NCAAF Week 0-1 is all set to take place from August 28. With less than two months remaining, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will take on the Illinois Fighting Illini in their first game on Saturday. Five games will take place on opening day and expect the betting lines to be up one week earlier. The 2021-22 season will be more successful than the last and several teams have already taken to the field with the preseason games. Bettors will be able to place their bets on the regular season right from the beginning of August.
NCAAF Big 12 Conference
There is no secret that the Big 12 Conference has some of the top teams in the entire league. Playing in the Big 12 has always been a challenge. While the offseason might not be the right place to predict, there are a couple of teams from the Big 12 that might make it to the end. The Oklahoma Sooners are expected to make it to the end with their strong offensive unit. Oklahoma was the winner of six straight conference titles and they are one of those favorites that will make it to the end.
On the other hand, the West Virginia Mountaineers are building a strong team that will hold a lot of potential. The Mountaineers defensive coordinator Vic Koenning left last summer and this season they should start well. Despite their struggles, the Mountaineers held 17th in defensive efficiency. Quarterback Jarret Doege and Winston Wright Jr. will be the key players alongside Bryce Ford-Wheaton and Leddie Brown.
Preseason Bowl Projections
A list of predictions is already up for the Bowl games and some of them have the top favorite teams. The Bahamas Bowl preseason projection is Rice vs Ohio. Both these teams had an unforgettable season back in 2021 and the Owls might just make it to the end. At the Cure Bowl, expect Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and Georgia Southern to cash in. The Florida Atlantic Owls and Fresno State Bulldogs will take on the Boca Raton Bowl as per the projections.
Moving straight to the Camellia Bowl, which will take place on Saturday, December 25. Ball State and Louisiana are to clash at the Camellia Bowl. The Hawaii Bowl expects to have the Rainbow Warriors and Houston Cougars while the Union Home Mortgage Bowl projects to have Wake Forest and Liberty. Baylor and Army will take on each other at the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.
While these are just Bowl Projections, the real betting and updates will take place much before the regular season.
