Liberty Flames vs Massachusetts Minutemen 11/02/2019 – The Liberty Flames are out to continue their romp when they visit the Massachusetts Minutemen on Saturday. Live sports betting see the Flames running away with this one. That is unless the Minutemen are able to show exemplary defense at the Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium. The Flames need just two more FBS wins to be bowl eligible. A win against UMass would be their sixth win this season. The Minutemen are practically out of it with one win to show, another reason why online betting USA is not giving them much of a chance.

Liberty Flames

There seems to be no stopping the Liberty Flames in getting their sixth win this Saturday. They enter this battle of FBS Independent Schools heavily motivated. They are just two wins short for bowl eligibility. Unless the Minutemen come out smoking, expect Liberty to be one win short of reaching that goal. They are also out for redemption. They lost last time out to Rutgers, having no answer to Johnny Langan. QB Stephen Calvert completed 17-of-31 for 244 yards in that game while Joshua Mack rushed for 109 yards and two scores. Improvement is direly needed on the defensive end not only against UMass but with future opponents.

Players to watch: S. Calvert QB  154 CMP 255 ATT 2,164 YDS 60.4  CMP% 8.5 AVG 73 LNG 16 TD 3 INT;  J. Mack RB 76 ATT 496 YDS 6.5 AVG 43 LNG; F. Hickson RB  91 ATT 459 YDS 5 AVG 66 LNG; A. Gandy-Golden WR 48 REC 945 YDS 19.7 AVG 73 LNG; K. Shaa WR 23  REC 301 YDS 13.1 AVG 40 LNG

Massachusetts Minutemen

With an alone win to show, the season is practically over for the Minutemen. Woes continue to pile of for Massachusetts, the last of which was a loss to UConn. Andrew Brito completed 20-of-40 passes for 239 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Billy Alyl finished with 159 yards and two scores as well. Defense leaves a big question mark, something the Minutemen will need to improve if they are to spoil the Flames.
