Frisco Bowl | Ohio vs. San Diego State – Wednesday, December 19th

Where: Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas

College Football Betting Odds:
The Bobcats finished this year’s season with an 8-4 record that saw them finish second in the MAC – East. Thanks to a 6-2 conference record Ohio managed to finish that high in the divisional ladder. Although they didn’t receive an invite to the conference championship, they did manage to finish the season with back to back dominant wins. Now they’re looking for a Frisco Bowl title with a solid win over San Diego State. These two haven’t met before and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of matchup they put forth. Looking over the numbers, there’s no denying that Ohio has a stark offensive advantage over San Diego State. Right now the Bobcats are averaging a whopping 41.2 points per game while the Aztecs are putting up 22.3. Defensively San Diego State has a slight advantage as they only give up 21.8 while Ohio allots 26.7. That defensive edge likely won’t account for much when facing an offense as powerful as Ohio.
Players to Watch: Ryan Agnew (1,525 passing yards, 10 TD, 5 INT), Juwan Washington (870 rushing yards, 10 TD, 4.8 AVG), and Fred Trevillion (598 receiving yards, 3 TD, 22 REC).
San Diego State Aztecs
The Aztecs turned in a 7-5 record this season to finish 4th in the MW – West division, thanks to their 4-4 record in conference play. All in all it wasn’t that successful of a season but there were some high notes. Such as the 19-13 win over Boise State. Unfortunately for San Diego State, they did close out the season with a meager 1-3 record in their final 4 games. They now have the opportunity to undo that streak by upsetting Ohio. All in all the odds aren’t pegging San Diego State as that big of an underdog, despite the difference in the opposing offense.
Players to Watch: Nathan Rourke (2,225 passing yards, 22 TD, 7 INT), AJ Ouellette (1,142 rushing yards, 12 TD, 6.2 AVG), and Papi White (897 receiving yards, 9 TD, 58 REC).
