Florida State Seminoles vs. Syracuse Orange

The college football betting race has just begun and already the Florida State Seminoles have fallen from grace. FSU kicked the season off with a 24-3 road loss to No. 20 Vermont. That matchup represented a great opportunity for the Seminoles to jump back into the national ranking landscape. Unfortunately they failed to get the job. And although they picked up a win in their following matchup, Florida State still has a  lot of work to do before they are considered one of the elite teams in the nation. This Saturday, they’ll be looking to make a splash in the Florida State Seminoles vs. Syracuse Orange contest. What kind of online legal bets should players make off of this collegiate pairing?

Florida State Seminoles

The Seminoles are 1-1 so far this season but are failing to measure up in the ACC thanks to their 0-1 conference record. Since a plethora of teams in the Atlantic Division of the ACC kicked the season off with a 2-0 record, it’s looking like FSU doesn’t have a chance of winning the division. Nevertheless, they still have a great shot of winning this weekend’s matchup, at least according to the college football betting odds. All in all the Seminoles will be turning to their offense to get the job done this weekend. Since Syracuse is giving up 454 total yards per game, we can expect the Seminoles to have a field day on offense this Saturday. However, Syracuse’s offense is putting up a whopping 508 yards themselves. With that in mind, it’s clear FSU will need their defense to step up if they are to stand a shot of winning this weekend.

Players to Watch: Deondre Francois (553 passing yards, 3 TD, 3 INT), Cam Akers (158 rushing yards, 0 TD, 5.6 AVG), and Nyqwan Murray (115 receiving yards, 0 TD, 11 REC).

Syracuse Orange

The Orange enter this weekend’s action with a brilliant 2-0 record. Cuse opened up their season with a tight 55-42 win over Western Michigan and followed that up with a much more dominant 62-10 pummeling of Wagner. And while that gives them a great start to the year, Syracuse has yet to begin their conference action. A win this weekend over FSU would be massive for this program, opening the door for many more eye-raising opportunities. Keep an eye on Dungey this weekend as he’s bound to have a great day both through the air and on the ground. Despite giving up huge yardage, both teams are only giving up around 25 points per game. We’ll have to see if this weekend’s action is more low-scoring than we’re anticipating.

Players to Watch: Eric Dungey (402 passing yards, 7 TD, 1 INT), Moe Neal (155 rushing yards, 1 TD, 4.1 AVG), and Jamal Custis (209 receiving yards, 3 TD, 11 REC).
