The Eagles are coming off a highly successful 12-3 season that included a 7-1 record in Big Sky conference play. This led to a 2nd place ranking in the conference behind Weber State. All in all, it was a massive improvement from the 7-4 record the program had delivered the previous season. Because of this, it’s safe to say that Eastern Washington is pretty happy with the job 2nd year head coach Aaron Best delivered. Best will be returning this season to lead the Eagles onto the field once again. However, he will be joined by 1st year offensive coordinator Ian Shoemaker as well as 1st year defensive coordinator Eti Ena. Washington Huskies
The Huskies turned in a 10-4 record last season that also included a 7-2 run in Pac-12 play. This led to a 1st place ranking in the North Division of the conference. Naturally, once the season concluded, Washington received an invite to the Pac-12 Championship game where they faced off against No. 17 Utah.
