Bowling Green Falcons vs Miami Redhawks 11/13/2019 – The Bowling Green Falcons visit the Miami (OH) Redhawks Wednesday playing for nothing but pride. Already out of contention, the Falcons are pegged as the underdogs by BetNow college football against the Redhawks. Toting a 3-6 overall record, Bowling Green will hope to add another W to their cause. Unfortunately, achieving that will not be easy against the MAC East leading Miami (OH). All the Falcons are looking for right now is their final outcome for the season. For the Redhawks, a follow-up to their win against Ohio can draw them nearer to the MAC East. Victory could also set them up against Detroit for the MAC Championship game.

Bowling Green Falcons
Bowling Green’s slim hopes of bowl eligibility start with an upset of the Miami (OH) Redhawks this Wednesday. The Falcons need to win their last three games as they battle for positioning in the MAC East. They are coming off a big demolition job of Akron last time out, snapping a two-game losing skid. Grant Loy and Darius Wade are expected to split quarterbacking duties as they did with the Zips. Loy had 113 passing yards against Akron and remains a dual-threat. RB Davon Jones is questionable against the Redhawks. He leads all Falcons running backs with 334 rushing yards and could be a key player to watch out for. The defense could use some improvement as well. The Bowling Green Falcons‘ defensive line has been inconsistent, although they previously held Akron to just six points. They will need to do more against Miami (OH) to pull an upset.
Players to watch: G. Loy QB 81 CMP 140 ATT 792 YDS 57.9 CMP% 5.7 AVG 66 LNG 5 TD 7 INT; B. Denley RB 82 ATT 358 YDS 4.4 AVG 22 LNG; D. Jones RB 77 ATT 334 YDS 4.3 AVG 19 LNG; Q. Morris TE 44 REC 515 YDS 11.7 AVG 59 LNG; B. Denley RB 23 REC 230 YDS 22.3 AVG 46 LNG
Even though they are favorites, Miami (OH) cannot take Bowling Green for granted. Like the Falcons, the Redhawks are coming off a big win over Ohio. They are in the lead but need more wins to secure the MAC East. Quarterback Brett Gabbert needs to continue his stellar play for the Redhawks to win. He was 10-of-18 in passing against Ohio for 149 yards. But one thing he needs to do is stretch the field. Gabbert only has a 53.3 percent completion rate and 7.1 yards per attempt. Miami (OH) also needs to maintain its defensive effort. The Redhawks are only allowing opponents to 31.7 points, one of the reasons why they are 4-1 in MAC play.
Players to watch: B. Gabbert QB 114 CMP 214 ATT 1,509 YDS 53.3 CMP% 7.1 AVG 63 LNG 6 TD 5 INT; T. Shelton WR 67 ATT 356 YDS 5.3 AVG 53 LNG; J. Bester RB 87 ATT 351 YDS 4 AVG 47 LNG; J. Maye WR 13 REC 298 YDS 22.9 AVG 63 LNG; D. Robinson WR 13 REC 290 YDS 22.3 AVG 46 LNG
