College Football Betting Odds:
Florida Intl. Golden Panthers
The Golden Panthers turned in an 8-4 record this season. Included in their efforts was a 6-2 performance in C-USA play. This led to a second place finish in the East division of the conference, which isn’t all that bad all things considered. The Golden Panthers did get to measure themselves against some nationally ranked competition. Early on in the season they faced No. 21 Miami on the road but didn’t put up much of a fight in a 17-31 losing battle. On top of that, Florida International closed out the regular season with a disappointing 28-25 loss to Marshall. While that was an obvious letdown, at least the program got to visit the Bahamas.
Players to Watch: James Morgan (2,727 passing yards, 26 TD, 7 INT), Napoleon Maxwell (673 rushing yards, 7 TD, 5.6 AVG), and CJ Worton (620 receiving yards, 6 TD, 36 REC).
The Rockets turned in a 7-5 record this season that included a 5-3 performance in conference play. This led to a second place ranking in the West division of the MAC conference. All in all the Rockets had an up and down season where they never really built much momentum. Now that they’re in the Bahamas however, they’ll be looking to add another win to this year’s performance. So what do the stats have to say about this matchup? Well the Rockets have the better offense as they’re scoring 41.1 per game while Florida Intl. is putting up 34.6. But on defense the Golden Panthers take the edge as they’re giving up an average of 24.7 while Toledo allots 30.2.
Players to Watch: Eli Peters (1,573 passing yards, 15 TD, 7 INT), Bryant Koback (875 rushing yards, 13 TD, 6.3 AVG), and Diontae Johnson (663 receiving yards, 7 TD, 43 REC).
