Alabama, Mississippi State do battle for Highway 82

People betting on college football with even the flimsiest grip on reality favor the Alabama Crimson Tide over the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday, November 12th at Bryant–Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The following are the NCAA football betting odds for the game:

The Bulldogs (4-5) pulled a 35-28 upset of the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday. Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald went 18 of 31 for 209 yards with two TD passes to wide receiver Fred Ross, and ran for 182 yards on 20 carries with two more scores, including a key 4-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, which capped off a grueling 14-play, 73-yard drive.
Alabama (9-0) beat the LSU Tigers 10-0 in a war of attrition on Saturday. The Tide’s defense held running back Leonard Fournette to 31 yards on 19 carries and no TDs, and the Tigers repaid the favor by similarly containing QB Jalen Hurts until early in the fourth quarter. Hurts finished 10 of 19 for 107 yards, and ran for 114 yards on 20 carries with one 21-yard scoring run. Alabama outgained LSU 323 yards to 125, and out ran the Tigers 216 yards to 33.

Hurts has completed 62.3% of his passes with 12 TDs and six picks, and has run for 635 yards and 10 touchdowns.
