Alabama-Birmingham Blazers vs Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners
The Blazers boast of one of the best defenses in the nation which will be bad news for the Roadrunners. Paired with a decent offense where they sit 8th in the conference, things are looking good for UAB. This depends on how Tyler Johnson III performs. The Blazers quarterback went 14/25 with 282 yards against the Rice Owls and completed three touchdowns. Also expected to do his part is Lucious Stanley. He led the team on the ground last time out and is expected to continue that against UTSA. Their rush game is another thing to consider. They have only allowed opponents an average of 2.9 yards per game, something UTSA will have to deal with.

The good news for UTSA is that they are coming off a big win against the UTEP Miners. Despite the momentum, the Roadrunners need to do more to pull off a win. Sincere McCormick was instrumental in their ground game last time out. He is expected to try and replicate that feat against the Blazers. On offense, Lowell Narcisse needs to do his thing as well. He went 6/14 against the Miners with 46 yards through the air along with 1 TD. Considering they are not so good in terms of scoring, all eyes will be on their ground game. They average 197.2 rushing yards per game. UTSA could also turn to their pass defense as well, considered one of the top units in Division 1.
