Florida State

On top of a poor 2017 performance, the Seminoles had to see Jimbo Fisher take off for Texas A&M. After 8 seasons with the program, Fisher has decided to take off for what he perceives to be greener pastures. Willie Taggart is now the man in charge and while some online sportsbooks are predicting a rebound, there’s no doubt this is an extremely talented team. All in all, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Seminoles turn in a 9-win season.

After coming off a 4-9 season, the Cougars don’t need much to deliver an improvement. But the way the Cougars finished the 2017 season; going 3-2 in their last 5, certainly has their fan base looking forward to this upcoming season. All in all, the Cougars are one sleeper to keep an eye out for. They’ve got a lot of returning talent and one of the easier schedules in the nation. Granted, they’ll have a tough September. But afterwards, the Cougars should be able to go on a bit of a streak and perhaps even snag bowl eligibility. Making this 2018 college football betting prediction during the offseason could be quite lucrative.

Scott Frost, the man taking over for Nebraska this upcoming season, has worked magic before. Specifically, in 2015, after UCF posted a 0-12 record, Frost was able to take them to a 6-7 performance. This time around, Frost will be receiving a much more talented team. Albeit, one facing a much tougher schedule than UCF was in 2015. However, Frost’s resume, coupled with the talent already on the roster, should be enough to deliver a sizable turnaround this upcoming season. And while Nebraska may have a tough time in the conference, their out of conference schedule isn’t all that daunting. In fact, some college football betting players are predicting a 3-0 start for Nebraska.

While Baylor isn’t likely to end up attending a bowl game, they should at the very least be able to improve upon last year’s record. Which shouldn’t be all that difficult, considering the team went 1-11. Surprisingly, most players making 2018 college football betting predictions have Baylor starting the season with a 2-1 record. Afterwards, the team should be able to pick up at least a couple more wins. The reason being; they’ll have plenty of players returning. Last year they ranked amongst the youngest in the nation. Now they’ll have plenty of energy and experience to take them to new heights.

After the hurricane season rampaged the Gators early-season schedule, Florida ended up going 4-7 on the year. This was by far one of last year’s biggest surprises, considering they were nationally ranked before the year kicked off. This upcoming season, barring some horrendous weather, we should be able to see Florida turn in a highly successful record on their way to a Bowl Game. This is one of the safest 2018 college football betting predictions to bank on!
