George Washington Colonials +17 ½ (-110) 151 ½ (-110)
The Musketeers, who are currently ranked as the 15th best program in the nation, come into this Thursday evening pairing sporting a 4-0 record that ranks them for 1st. in the conference. Or rather, it ties Xavier with 4 other programs; Seton Hall, St. Johns, Villanova, for the lead in the Big East. The Musketeers have been unchallenged so far this season, as they’ve beaten each of their opponents by 10 or more points. Considering the fact that Xavier has beaten some of their opponents by 50 or more points, no one is questioning this program’s current betting NCAA basketball ranking. The Musketeers last stepped onto the court to face Hampton at home in a 96-60 winning effort.
Bettors tuning in for this matchup will want to keep an eye out for Trevon Bluiett who currently leads Xavier in points. Bluiett is putting up 274.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists each game. Bluiett and JP Macura are a force to be reckoned with for Xavier. Macura is second in points with his average of 13.5 points per game.
George Washington Colonials
The George Washington Colonials enter this Thanksgiving matchup sporting a 2-2 record. No one in the A 10 conference has yet to face a conference opponent in 2017, so there’s no clear leader in the A 10. However, by the way George Washington has been performing this season, the best online sportsbook players across the world will not be expecting the Colonials to lead the A 10. George Washington last faced the Rider Broncs at home, conceding a close 67-65 loss. The money line has yet to come out for this matchup but judging by the spread and both team’s records: players can expect George Washington to open as a heavy betting underdog.
To help pull off the upset, the Colonials will be hoping for an All-Star performance from Yuta Watanabe, the program’s leading point scorer. Watanabe is putting up 13.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Watanabe gets plenty of help from Jair Bolden who is averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per outing. Third in scoring for the Colonials is Patrick Steeves and his 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assist per game.
