Friday brings with it the final round of Sweet Sixteen’s March Madness betting action. This year’s tournament has once again proven to be unpredictable and while some basketball fans love the chaotic nature of the NCAA Tournament, there are more than a few bettors who wish things would be a bit more predictable, ergo more profitable. Nevertheless, players turn our attention to Friday’s action in hopes of finding a NCAA basketball tournament line with their name on it.

Although Friday brings with it the end of the Sweet Sixteen round, it also brings us one step closer to the championship match. Those who witnessed last year’s title match can still remember the dramatic, thrilling conclusion that it provided and we’re all brimming with anticipation, hoping that this year’s finale will be just as titanic.
North Carolina, who was part of 2016’s NCAA championship match, still remembers both how captivating and heartbreaking (for Tar Heels fans anyway) last year’s title game was and UNC is certainly hoping to avenge the defeat they suffered on a national stage last year. The Tar Heels come one step closer to accomplishing that goal Friday when they get set to face off against the Butler Bulldogs.
Butler vs. North Carolina – Friday, March 24
When: 7:09 pm ET
Where: FedEx Forum, Memphis, Tennessee
NCAA Basketball Tournament Lines:
Butler Bulldogs +7 ½ (-110) 153 (-110) +270
North Carolina Tar Heels -7 ½ (-110) 153 (-110) -330
Butler has had a good run so far in the tournament, but they certainly haven’t faced the likes of UNC. The Bulldogs come into this matchup with a 25-8 record (12-6 Big East) that gave way to a 2nd place finish in the conference. Once in the Big East Tournament, the Bulldogs were sent home early by Xavier in the Quarterfinals 23-8. So far in this year’s NCAA Tournament, Butler has faced off against Middle Tennessee and Winthrop. The Bulldogs looked great in both outings, but March Madness betting fans will have to wait and see how they fare against the Tar Heels.
To help lead them to an upset, the Bulldogs will turn to Kelan Martin, who is leading the team thanks to his average of 16.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest. Second in points for Butler is Andrew Chrabascz who is averaging 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per outing.
North Carolina Tar Heels
The Tar Heels are one of the few March Madness betting favorites who have yet to be upset in this year’s tournament, but they’re certainly wary of the possibility. North Carolina slides into this matchup with a 29-7 record (14-4 ACC) and a 1st place finish in the conference. Likewise, North Carolina was able to find success in the ACC Tournament. They steamrolled their competition all the way to the title match where they overcame Virginia 61-57. The Tar Heels have faced Arkansas and Texas so far in this year’s tournament, and neither team posed a problem for UNC.
North Carolina will be looking for a strong performance from leading point-scorer Justin Jackson to lead them over Butler. Jackson is currently averaging 18.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per contest. Second in points for UNC is Joel Berry III who is draining 14.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per matchup.
