Both sides are coming off highly successful seasons but have their work cut out for them as they’re looking to rebuild from a gutted roster. With that in mind, what kind of turnout are the sportsbook odds predicting? Let’s take a look at the betting lines to find out.

College Basketball Betting Odds:
Duke Blue Devils TBP
Kentucky Wildcats TBP
Duke Blue Devils
The Blue Devils are coming off a highly successful 29-8 season that saw them post a 13-5 record in ACC play. That conference record led to a 2nd place ranking in the ACC, second only to No. 1 Virginia. In the ACC Tournament, Duke failed to live up to their expectations as they were eliminated in the semifinals by their longtime rivals, UNC. However, the Blue Devils were able to make up for it slightly by putting together a more impressive run in the National Tournament. There Duke was able to deliver blowouts in their first two matches, an 89-67 beating against Iona in the First Round followed by an 87-62 mauling of Rhode Island in the second. Things would be much tighter in the Sweet Sixteen round as the Blue Devils narrowly avoided defeat against Syracuse 69-65. Afterwards, Duke would be eliminated from contention by Kansas 81-85 in overtime. Now, with a heap of eye-catching recruits, Duke is ready to take the 2018 college basketball betting season by storm.
Players to Watch: Marques Bolden (3.9 ppg, 0.6 apg, 3.6 rpg), Javin DeLaurier (3.4 ppg, 0.5 apg, 4.0 rpg), and Alex O’Connell (3.3 rpg, 1.4 rpg, 0.5 apg).
The Wildcats found plenty of success in 2017 but there’s no question they’re vying for better results this time around. Last season they finished with a 26-11 record that included a meager 10-8 record in SEC play. That conference record led to a less than stellar 4th place ranking in the SEC. However, Kentucky was able to prove their might in the EC Tournament by winning the whole thing. Unfortunately, they would not be so successful in the National Tournament, only making it to the Sweet Sixteen round. There Kansas State shocked Kentucky 58-61. But with a handful of returning stars, and a heap of outstanding recruits, most bettors are confident Kentucky will have a more successful outing this time around.
Players to Watch: PJ Washington (10.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1.5 apg), Quade Green (9.3 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.7 apg), and Nick Richards (5.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 1.0 apg).
