Duke-Notre Dame to Deliver Online NCAAB Betting Showdown
Posted by: Anthony Yaylor
Online NCAAB betting fans that dislike the Blue Devils have been in jubilee as of late. Ever since Grayson Allen received a suspension for tripping, Duke has been giving their haters endless reasons to celebrate the teams’ struggles.
Entering their most recent contest against Wake Forest, the Blue Devils had conceded 3 sportsbook losses in 4 games. The failure to perform got so high that Coach K decided to ban the players from wearing Duke Paraphernalia on campus, to remind the players the honor that it is to represent the collegiate program.
Ultimately, it seems that Coach K’s disciplinary methods worked as the Blue Devils were able to turnaround their lackluster performance and delivered a jaw-dropping online NCAAB betting win over the Demon Deacons in the final minutes of the 4th-quarter.
After trailing the entire second half, Duke’s entire team showed both resilience and perseverance – especially Luke Kennard whose last-minute 3-pointer put the Blue Devils up with 6.6 seconds left to play. Overall the team played their heart out on their way to a 85-83 victory that proved it’s way too early to rule out the Blue Devils.
Duke now has the opportunity to follow up their triumphant comeback win with a dominant performance against a nationally ranked team in order to drive home the point that they are legitimate contenders.
On Monday, January 30th the Blue Devils will be making the journey to Indiana to face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center. The Fighting Irish will be coming into this contest ranked No. 14 in the nation while Duke has slipped to No. 17 after their recent disappointing performances. Let’s see if they sportsbooks will side with the higher-ranked Fighting Irish, or if they will rule in favor of Duke.
ONLINE NCAAB BETTING – REGULAR SEASON – Monday, January 30th
Duke Blue Devils -1½ (-110) 153½ (-110) -130
It seems that the bookies aren’t letting the rankings affect their decision and have come out in favor of the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils will be coming into this contest with a 16-5 record that ranks them 9th in the ACC after posting a 4-4 record in conference play. Considering the rough patch the team has hit recently, Duke needs to pick up back-to-back wins against a nationally ranked opponent in order to once again be perceived as a dangerous team. Especially since the Grayson Allen-incident the Blue Devils have become the laughingstock of the sportsbook betting community.
The Irish are coming into this contest with a 17-5 record that includes 6-3 record in ACC play. Notre Dame is ranked 3rd in the ACC and will be looking to further that ranking by picking up a win over conference-rival Duke this Monday night. Basketball betting sites may not be siding with Notre Dame, but behind Bonzie Colon’s efforts – who is leading the Irish with his average of 15.5 points per game – the Irish could end up surprising the bookmakers.
