After a lengthy offseason, and a change of climate, the annual countdown to March Madness begins. The aforementioned games are just some of the options that the best NCAA betting sites will have available for opening night. So, looking ahead to the start of the season, which conference appears to be the strongest?
That would have to be the ACC. After a superlative performance on behalf of the ACC, nearly half of the entire conference made the NCAA tournament, with both Syracuse and North Carolina even going as far as the Final Four. After being snubbed in the National Championship Game, you can bet the Tar Heels will be coming in fuming.
One of the reasons the ACC is always in the mix is because of the depth it enjoys. Last season, six teams reached the Sweet 16, which was more than any other conference by a considerable margin. Equally impressive is the fact that 8 ACC teams finished ranking within the top 40 of KenPom’s final rankings. But the ACC also is a college basketball betting favorite because it consistently delivering some of the most entertaining matchups, just look at last year’s ACC Tournament Championship Game. With so much skill in the ACC, which team is the most talented?
That would probably have to be the Duke Blue Devils. The Tar Heels may be coming off an unequivocally impressive season, but Duke’s roster is filled to the brim with young talent. Freshmen Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum are currently dealing with injuries, but they should heal up soon and be contributing to this team’s success in no time. Either way, the Blue Devils backups have more talent than most top 25 teams. Make sure to tune into their game against Marist to see if they prove worthy of being the ACC’s college basketball betting favorite.
