Clemson Tigers

The Tigers, led by Brad Brownell, turned in a 25-9 record this season that included an 11-7 ACC record. Overall, Clemson finished 3rd in the ACC’s rankings and were unable to find much success in the conference tournament. Specifically, the Tigers made it to the semifinals before being eliminated by Virginia. So far in this year’s NCAA tournament the Tigers have faced New Mexico State and Auburn. In the match versus New Mexico State, Clemson delivered a definitive 79-68 win over the Aggies. Versus Auburn, the Tigers came out on top 84-53. Notwithstanding that manhandling, the college basketball betting odds are siding against Clemson this time around.

Players to Watch: Marcquise Reed (15.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.4 apg), Donte Grantham (14.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.4 apg), and Gabe DeVoe (13.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.1 apg).

Kansas Jayhawks

In his 15th season with Kansas, Bill Self has led this team to another highly successful season. The Jayhawks finished the regular season with a 29-7 record that included 13-5 finish in Big 12 play. That paved the way to a 1st place finish in the conference. And in the Big 12 Tournament, the Jayhawks once again proved that they’re the best in the conference by winning the competition. The Jayhawks have been unchallenged so far in the tournament but Clemson’s defense stands to give them a run for their money.

Players to Watch: Devonte’ Graham (17.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 7.5 apg), Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (15.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.6 apg), and Malik Newman (13.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.6 apg).

Clemson vs. Kansas Basketball Picks

Kansas comes in with a significantly better offense and a decent defense. However, there’s no denying the fact that the Tigers have the edge on defense. Normally, it’s a good idea to side with the team with the better defense. But since this is the Kansas Jayhawks were talking about here, bettors will be wiser to stick with the favorite. The money line out on KU is alright but the spread on Clemson and totals line might be better options. Sign up today to make this March Madness bet!

Score Prediction: 82-79 Kansas. The Jayhawks hold off the Tigers to advance to the Elite Eight. Clemson covers the spread and the TOTAL will be OVER.
