Betting NCAA Basketball Online Odds:
Bucknell Bison TBP
North Carolina Tar Heels TBP
The Bison are coming off a 26-9 season so it’s safe to say that the program will be looking to build off of that success in 2017. The program will be entering their 3rd year under Nathan Davis and so far they haven’t quite gotten the start they were looking for. Bucknell has lost both of its games this season, the first being a close 79-78 loss to the Monmouth Hawks and the second a more decisive 101-73 blowout at the hands of Arkansas. Getting blown out by an unranked team doesn’t inspire a whole lot of betting NCAA basketball confidence in bettors, especially when your team is poised to take on the 9th best program in the nation. The fact that this team has already been manhandled this early into the season does not bode well for them down the stretch. There’s still plenty of basketball to be played and players aren’t able to maintain a high level of confidence after that type of finish.
Bettors will want to keep an eye out for Zach Thomas this evening. Thomas leads Bucknell in points with his 27.5 points per game average and is also putting up 13 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks.
North Carolina Tar Heels
The Tar Heels come into this Wednesday night contest sporting a perfect 1-0 record that the best online sportsbooks on the planet are predicting will soon improve to 2-0. Considering how the Bison performed against Arkansas, there’s no question that UNC will be pegged as a massive favorite on the money line once the lines come out. We’ve only seen North Carolina step on the court once this year in an 86-69 pounding of the unranked Northern Iowa Panthers. Facing yet another unranked opponent, the Tar Heels will be looking to deliver an even more decisive finish.
To help accomplish just that UNC will be turning to Luke Maye, the man leading the program in points with his stellar 26 ppg average. Maye is also putting up 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. The junior might not be putting up too many assists, but the rest of those numbers border on what you see in the NBA.
