Betting NCAA Basketball Lines for No. 1 taking on No. 2Posted by: Anthony Yaylor
The 2017 betting NCAA basketball season is officially underway. We’re just but a handful of games into the season which means that the best online sportsbook action is just getting started. Tuesday evening, NCAA bettors will have the opportunity to tune in for a total of 5 different NCAA matchups. First up is an interesting matchup between Nicholls State and Villanova and the contest between Kentucky and Kansas will close out the day’s action. However, none of these eye-catching contests can compete with the level of intrigue brought about by tonight’s matchup between the nation’s No.1 and No. 2. Let’s take a look at the second matchup of the night pitting the Duke Blue Devils against the Michigan State Spartans.

Betting NCAA Basketball Lines:

Michigan State Spartans +2 (-110) 157 ½ (-110)
Duke Blue Devils
Once again, the Blue Devils enter the year as the best program in the nation. At least that’s what the AP has to say about it, since the season is just kicking off we don’t really know who the real No. 1 is. Nonetheless, the way Duke has commenced this year’s season hasn’t really left players who place sports bets online questioning their rankings. Instead, NCAA players are getting used to the idea that the Blue Devils are the best program in the nation. The Devils come into this evening’s contest with two wins already under their belt, after pulling Elon 97-68 in their 2017 debut followed by 99-69 abuse of the Utah Valley Wolverines. Despite blowing out both of their opponents this season, the betting NCAA basketball lines are predicting a close finish this evening with their 2-point prediction on the spread.
Michigan State Spartans
The Michigan State Spartans, the No. 2 team in the country, come into this evening’s contest sporting a 1-0 record. The Spartans have only faced one opponent thus far: the unranked North Florida Ospreys. Michigan State delivered a 98-66 pummeling in that game and they’ll be looking to do the same to Duke this evening, no matter how unlikely the odds of that happening are. The Spartans are pegged as the underdogs ahead of this evening’s matchup, but not by much as the spread predicts that this game will come down to the wire. Keep an eye for the money line to come out as the day progresses.
To help knock off the nation’s number 1, Michigan State will be turning to Miles Bridges, the man leading the program in points. In the first game of the season, Bridges turned in a 20 point, 10 rebounds, 2 assist and even a lone steal performance. Bridges got plenty of help from Nick Ward, who put up 16 points and 2 rebounds in the Spartans’ 2017 debut. Keep an eye out for both of these playmakers this evening.
