We’re nearing the end of the first round of this year’s online NBA betting playoffs and so far the action has been fairly predictable. The Cavaliers and Warriors both lead their series by a sizable margin, and the Oklahoma City Thunder are on the verge of being eliminated, despite Russell Westbrook’s best efforts. Now that this weekend’s action is in the books, players who bet on NBA playoff games can begin the week on a good note by banking on a pretty safe bet.

Looking over Monday night’s action, it’s clear that the safest wager is a bet on the Golden State Warriors, who are undefeated thus far in the postseason. Alternatively, sportsbook fans can choose to wager on the Bucks and Raptors Game 5 matchup, or the Wizards and Hawks as they enter Game 4. However, given the back and forth nature of those two series, it seems that the Warriors contest will have the most predictable result.

Golden State Warriors
The Warriors enter this contest as the heavy online NBA betting favorite, which comes as no surprise after witnessing the regular season Golden State delivered. A 67-15 record paved the way for a 1st place finish in both the Western Conference as well as the Pacific Division. 2017 marks the 5th straight year that Golden State has qualified for the postseason, but there’s no doubt that the Warriors enter this year’s playoffs with a little added motivation, since their defeat in last year’s title match is still fresh in their minds. Steve Kerr will not be around to witness what goes on in this game though due to health complications.
The Warriors haven’t struggled much against the Trail Blazers so far in the series. In fact, Game 3 marked the closest Portland has come to upsetting Golden State, and Portland still lost that contest by 6 points. The Warriors will be looking to sweep the Trail Blazers in Game 4 and they’ll turn to Stephen Curry to help them accomplish that, since Durant is still banged up with injury. In Game 3 Curry put up 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Trail Blazers didn’t enjoy the same type of success that the Warriors did in the regular season, but they were still able to find their way into the postseason, for the 4th straight year. However, Portland’s 41-41 record is an inkling to basketball betting sites that that playoff streak may come to a screeching halt.
The Trail Blazers will be looking to replicate Game 3’s success this evening, albeit actually come away with it this time. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers in points last time, with his 31 point, 7 rebound, 4 assist performance.
