Top 5 Online NBA Betting Power Rankings

If time flies when you’re having fun then this year’s online NBA betting season must be a blast because we are rapidly approaching the season’s halfway point. This year’s season has proven to be as unexpected as ever and we’ve already seen our fair share of surprises from the Warriors setting NBA records for their 3-pointers, to Russell Westbrook putting up triple-doubles like it’s a walk in the park. Needless to say, trying to figure out what the rest of the season has in store for us is damn near impossible. But one thing that will indubitably help online sportsbook fans find success amongst basketball betting lines is an updated look at the NBA’s power rankings.

1.San Antonio Spurs (30-7)
Since the Spurs won all of their games last week by an average of 24.3 points, it’s hard to imagine placing them elsewhere on this list. If the current trend continues, San Antonio will undoubtedly finish with their second consecutive 65 win season – which is even more impressive when considering Duncan’s departure. San Antonio has a league-best +16.1 net rating over their last 10 games.

2.Cleveland Cavaliers (28-8)
Although they weren’t able to retain the top spot, the Cavs were able to make some headlines for their addition of Kyle Korver from the Hawks. Cleveland sent Atlanta Mike Dunleavy, Mo Williams, and a 2019 first-round draft pick for the veteran sharpshooter. The addition of another three-point threat to the league’s second best unit beyond the arc will undoubtedly help the Cavs’ online NBA betting odds for most basketball betting lines down the road. Cleveland went 3-1 this past week, only losing their contest against the Bulls. Mostly because Kyrie Irving was out due to a hamstring injury and Kevin Love also sat out because of food poisoning.

3.Golden State Warriors (31-6)
With all the talent the Warriors have it’s hard placing them so low on this list. But, Golden State certainly deserves it after blowing a 24-point second half lead in their overtime loss to the Grizzlies. However, this year’s favorite on future’s basketball betting lines still have the league’s best offense, 4th best defense, and are on track for a third straight 67-plus win season. All Golden State needs to do is figure out how to keep their offense alive in the second half.

4.Houston Rockets (29-9)
The Rockets are flying high with an NBA-best 7-game win streak. In that span Houston has averaged 120.3 points per game. Overall, the Rockets have gone 17-2 since their overtime win against the Warriors. Needless to say, Houston has done a marvelous job of delivering a turnaround season considering they were 19-19 at this time last year.

5.Boston Celtics (23-14)
Things looked rough for a while there for Boston but the Celtics are starting to pull together. However, if the Celtics want to be in the conversation with the best teams in the NBA, they better start beating the best. This past December Boston lost to Rockets, Raptors, Thunder, Spurs, and Cavs. Not exactly what the online NBA betting community considers convincing.
