Ranking the Best Picks from the 2019 NBA Draft

The 2019 NBA Draft is underway and online NBA betting fans have a lot to catch up on. To help condense the action we saw, we’ve put together this list that aims to rank the best picks from the 2019 NBA draft. Below we’ll be covering which teams snagged the most value. Take a sports betting look.

Best Picks from the 2019 NBA Draft

No. 1 | New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson, Duke

It might seem a little silly to have the No. 1 pick of the draft here since we all knew that Zion Williamson would go first. However, this was a perfect scenario for Pelicans following their trade of Anthony Davis. So Davis’ departure has left no holes for the organization as they have immediately picked up the face of the franchise. This is extremely fortunate for New Orleans that they were able to get this pick but the organization handled it quite strategically.

No. 2 | Boston Celtics: Grant Williams, Tennessee

This seems extremely questionable and more in line with a Cam Johnson pick. However, while you could argue that Williams was taken a bit early, he is clearly the right fit for Boston. His size or speed may not stand out but his results are beyond reproach. At the end of the day this guy can ball and he is just the man Boston needs. His shooting is widely undervalued and Boston needs Williams to help them out in that department. A lot of online NBA betting pundits have been critical of this pick but it’s nothing we haven’t heard before.

No. 3 | Portland Trail Blazers: Nassir Little, North Carolina

Nassir Little is the Aaron Rodgers of the 2019 NBA Draft. Projected to be picked around the No. 12 spot, Little sunk all the way down to 25. Like the Packers did with Rodgers, picking up a young quarterback when future Hall of Famer Brett Favre still had several years left, the Trail Blazers worried not about fit or need but decided to take the most valuable player available in that moment. That of course happened to be Nassir Little, the MVP of 2018’s McDonald’s All-American as well as the Jordan Brand Classic game. A couple years down the road this could be one of the most memorable picks from the 2019 NBA Draft.

No. 4 | Chicago Bulls: Coby White, North Carolina

If you haven’t seen Coby White’s reaction to finding out his teammate got picked high in the draft then you’re missing out. It is without a doubt one of the most wholesome reactions you’ll see this week.

Putting aside his big heart, White is a tremendous talent. Few could’ve predicted he’d be a one-and-done player. However, the fact that he was picked 7th overall in the draft is pretty remarkable. Clearly Chicago saw something in him that made them decided to draft him this early. All in all, mobile betting fans will agree it must have been his skills as a primary ball-handler.
